The Situation

The Scottish Childminding Association — a dedicated support organisation for childminding professionals across Scotland — needed a complete brand refresh that authentically reflected the breadth of their services. The brief called for a new visual identity that was simultaneously professional and warm, capable of speaking to practitioners, parents, and communities alike.

The Solution

Developed a full brand identity system anchored in a child-centric philosophy: fresh, bright, and playful, yet credible and professional. Designed a new logo, curated colour palette, and a suite of visual elements organised across six strategic categories — professional, fun, hand-drawn, Scotland-related, activity-based, and educational. To support versatile marketing and communications, a master stamp and a series of division stamps were created, allowing materials to flex across different audience contexts. For example, the learning stamp was applied to all 'Learn with SCMA' collateral to reinforce educational messaging at a glance.
