The Situation

House of Sitaare is a Scotland-based e-commerce lifestyle brand offering art-inspired products — from ceramics and accessories to wall art and home décor — rooted in a philosophy of connecting people with culture, nature, and self-expression. As the founder and sole designer, the challenge was to create an online shopping experience that felt as considered and intentional as the products themselves: warm, culturally rich, and premium, without sacrificing usability or conversion clarity. The brand required a full visual language and a scalable digital foundation built from scratch.

The Solution

Designed the end-to-end website UX and UI, and built a comprehensive design system to ensure visual consistency across the brand’s growing product categories. The website balances rich, editorial aesthetics — drawing on an Indian-inspired visual language of ornate illustration, deep jewel tones, and expressive typography — with a clean e-commerce architecture that guides customers naturally from discovery through to checkout. The design system covers typography, colour, spacing, component states, and iconography, providing a scalable foundation as the product range and brand continue to evolve.
